Camella Dumaguete blessed the three model houses the traditional Filipino way. From the Catholic mass to the merienda with delicious local delicacies of kutsinta, cassava cake and empanada, the ceremony bespoke of family bonds and faith.
The Camella team, along with its family of agents, brokers and buyers, gathered for this event, which is a typical religious ritual started by early Catholicism intended to protect inhabitants from unforeseen occurrences.
Apart from its religious, the ceremony is more of a social event, and touches of modern practices meant to usher in prosperity were inserted, like the throwing of coins that is basically a Chinese practice and the breaking of a wine bottle led by contractor/engineer Engr. Karlo Pacuribot, and Engr. Vilmor Gentilezo which is a European tradition.
