IT was a fun-filled day in Gran Europa as Camella CDO kicked off its week-long 18th year anniversary celebration last October 22. The whole-day activity started with an early morning fun run from SM City Cagayan de Oro to Gran Europa which was participated in by more than 500 runners comprised of Camella homeowners, Camella staff and sales networks, contractors, suppliers and even non-homeowners. A fitness dance was also conducted for the runners to cool down which further livened up the event. “We did not expect this kind of turnout in our fun run. Indeed, this is a very successful event and we might do this regularly to promote wellness amongst our privilege homeowners.
This also shows that we are one big family here in Camella and we have really built a happy and united community,” bragged Emelia Lustado, general manager of Camella CDO. The morning activities also included a thanksgiving mass to commemorate the 18 blissful years of Camella as the leading Real Estate developer in CDO and in the whole Northern Mindanao. This was followed by a dog vaccination for the homeowners’ pets as part of Camella’s corporate social responsibility program. The main highlight of the day’s celebration was the night market at the Gran Europa Circle which has been pioneered by Camella for two years now. Other subdivisions followed this concept but the Gran Europa night market thus far is the only one that can gather the biggest number of exhibitors and marketgoers. The entire Gran Europa circle was filled with 30 exhbiitors and thousands of people, both homeowners and outsiders, who all enjoyed shopping and watching the program hosted by top radio and TV host Totoy Bugoy.
Camella sponsored a Search for Little Ms. Camella and Camella’s Got Talent contest which drew cheers and yells from the crowd. The program ended with a grand fireworks display which also jumpstarted the disco dancing till the break of dawn. Other activities for the week long celebration included a medical mission at barangay Lumbia, the adopted barangay of Camella, last October 24 and an inter-subdivision basketball tournament in Gran Europa. Another night market will be held on October 29 which will showcase a Mother and Daughter Lookalike, Mr. Gwapo and essay writing contest. “We wish to thank all our homebuyers, sales networks, contractors and suppliers for their continued support and patronage and for making Camella CDO no. 1 for the last 18 years. Moving ahead, we will continue with our thrust to provide quality homes and communities for the people of CDO,” remarked Lustado. The week-long anniversary celebration is also supported by Mindanao Gold Star Daily. *
