A tree-planting activity was done simultaneously in all Vista Land projects across the country which coincided with the commemoration of Earth day.
Seeing the importance of rehabilitating the planet, protecting what limited resources still exist and creating values that support an eco-friendly way of living, Vista Land, in coordination with the Villar Foundation, launched Greenviron, a collection of programs to sustain Mother Nature.
These programs include tree planting, waste segregation, composting, vermi-culture and use of coco coir.
As a subsidiary of Vista Land, the largest homebuilder in the country, Camella CDO mobilized its staff, sales network, contractors, homeowners, suppliers, banks and media partners totaling 200 people to plant over a hundred trees in its masterplan development, Gran Europa.
The event started with a fitness jam at Rizal Park fronting Camella CDO office followed by a motorcade all the way to Gran Europa.
A short program was held at the Gran Europa Circle where the participants took an oath to protect, nurture and rebuild Mother Earth followed by the tree planting which is the main highlight of the event.
“My kids and I are very happy with this activity. Other than being a bonding moment for us, we get to help in preserving our environment and making our community clean and green,” said one of the Gran Europa homeowners who joined the tree planting.
“This event is indeed a clear proof that Camella is not just concern about profitability but we also take care of the welfare of our homeowners by making our projects as liveable and as natural as possible. Greenviron will be a continuous advocacy and will be implemented in all our projects not just in CDO but throughout the country,” remarked Emelia Lustado, general manager of Camella CDO.
