“DOMINATION, that is what we intend to do this 2012 in the Real Estate industry in Northern Mindanao.” This was the confident statement of Emelia N. Lustado, general manager of Camella CDO, when asked about Camella’s plans for 2012. With its growth rate of 58% in 2011, Camella is more optimistic that they can dominate the market this year especially with its aggressive expansion and development plans. “Since we started 18 years ago, Camella has always been the pioneer and leader in Cagayan de Oro and even in the whole Northern Mindanao. We have captured a sizeable chunk of the market and we believe we can get more because we have better projects, better locations, better amenities and better live-in communities,” added Lustado.
For 2012, Camella CDO will fastrack its development in Gran Europa in uptown CDO which will include the construction of its community church and commercial center making it the new destination in Cagayan de Oro City. The existing enclaves in Gran Europa, namely La Mirande, Portico II and Lessandra, are almost sold out and plans are underway to open new enclaves to cater to increasing demand. Soon, Gran Europa will become the largest prime development in Northern Mindanao with a total area of 150 hectares complete with residential and commercial components.
“It will be like a City within a City,” bragged Lustado. With the phenomenal success of Santa Barbara in Kauswagan, CDO Camella is now eyeing to open another inner city project within the 2nd half of the year. This will be a big development with a nice view and very near the city center. Camella is also planning to build a condominium project within downtown area to cater to those who want an alternative urban lifestyle. To complement this major expansion program, Camella will also be expanding its sales networks and will be recruiting more sales persons to sell their projects.
“This will also be a big year for our sales people since more projects would mean more income and incentives for all of them,” said Lustado. Camella is the subsidiary catering to the mid-market segment of Vista Land & Lifescapes, the country’s largest homebuilder. It has over 35 years of experience, built more than 250,000 homes and maintains a strong presence in Mega Manila and 21 other key provincial destinations and 48 cities and municipalities, while aggressively expanding to other regions.
