Cerritos now a liveable community

WITH over 150 houses built and a hundred more being constructed, Cerritos, the Mediterranean-inspired subdivision project of masterplan developer Camella, is now a liveable community.

It has also completed its land development, with its road network already established and fully concreted, and amenities that homeowners can already enjoy.

“When looking for a new home, wise homebuyers don’t look only at the house itself, but also the facilities and amenities, the whole neighborhood, and at the developer’s reputation,” said Anna Mae dela Pena, Camella Davao marketing head, adding that it’s the whole sense of community and good living that attracts most buyers.

“Bolstering the liveability factor of Cerritos are its deluxe amenities, such as the Parko Alberto, the Forro Verdi, and the crown jewel of the subdivision, the Villa Romana clubhouse,” dela Pena revealed.

Parko Alberto is an open tree park that provides a vista of green within the community, enhancing an already verdant landscape of green grass, trees, and other plant life.

Forro Verdi is the central open space at the heart of the subdivision, where homeowners can hang out, enjoy the beauty of nature, and revel in the wide, expansive space. It is inspired from the Foro (forum), the center of Roman public life.

There are also quaint piazzas, parkos, and pocket gardens for more natural, open recreational points, including an interactive playground for kids and those young at heart.

More recreational sports can be enjoyed at the basketball court, jogging trails, and a good-sized swimming pool where homeowners can have a refreshing dip in its cool waters.

At the heart of Cerritos is the well-appointed clubhouse called Villa Romana, a single-storey structure that can host special occasions and other social gatherings, enhancing the community life of its homeowners.

“That’s not all. There is going to be a commercial plaza located at the front of Cerritos, where homeowners only need a brief stroll to get to and enjoy the shops, stores, and other commercial spots,” dela Pena said.

The commercial project is expected to stimulate growth in this part of Mintal, turning it into a self-contained area ideal for good living. It will also allow Cerritos to become a self-sustaining community, where its homeowners can enjoy its world-class facilities and amenities, and the convenience of getting everything they need from the commercial center a few steps away.

Camella Cerritos is a master-planned residential development that has an upscale appeal but is offered at mid-price range, clearly a wise home choice for all types of homebuyers.

CAMELLA is seeking more expansion in Mindanao this year.

In a press conference Saturday at the Mandaya Hotel Davao, Cnythia Villar said the family business will be expanding its coverage in Valencia, Marbel in South Cotabato and Ozamis City for this year.

Villar said that in Mindanao, they already have Camella communities in General Santos City, Butuan City, Cagayan De Oro City, Tagum City and Davao City.

Villar said they will be building low-rise infrastructures in Mindanao catering to most middle-class clients.

The investment for every Camella is amounting to over P100 million, she said.

In Metro Manila, she said they have high-rise and low-rise buildings catering to upper and middle-class families.

Based on her assessment, the middle-class families in the city are not yet ready for high-rise condominiums. (ALC)

Accompanying the 12 were Camella Davao marketing staff Stephanie Palanca and administrative head Sheila Lara who both made sure everyone was feted with the best service and enjoyed his/her reward to the fullest.

Those who already received their rewards through the ‘Wow sa Tag-araw’ promo were Teresita Gonzaga (32 inch Samsung LCD TV), Angel Pana and Humphrey King Romero (Ipod Touch), and Merlita Romero (Whirlpool Microwave).  Those who will hit their 2nd quarter target will receive their prizes towards the end of June.

Camella lights up projects: More than just a festive flair

February 9, 2012 § Leave a comment

MONDAY, 19 DECEMBER 2011 05:44

by Greg Deligero

At around seven o’ clock in the evening of last December 8, Camella Davao lit up two of its landmark developments in Davao City and one in Tagum City.

But the grand simultaneous lighting at Camella Northpoint on JP Laurel, Camella Cerritos in Mintal,  and Camella Tagum was more than just a Christmas decor.
For Marlon B. Escalicas, Camella Davao general manager, the festive flair was more symbolic of the role of Camella in the entire landscape of property development: a “guiding light” in making breakthroughs and innovations in building communities.
“We want to manifest our presence in bringing light, both figurative and literal, in setting direction to our communities in building decent homes for the families,” he said.
In setting direction for Davao City’s development, Escalicas said Camella Davao will jump start a mall at Camella Cerritos in Mintal to spread out the development outside the central business district area. “Hopefully, it will stir the development in the third district. The people there need not to come down to downtown to do shopping. In effect, we will also help lessen the traffic in the downtown,” he said.
“We give prime consideration to the welfare of the community. We want our communities to be self-sustaining. We want to build communities. That is why we sell house and lot. If we only sell lots, it will be susceptible to the land speculators who will just left the property idle until its value becomes higher and higher. There will be no community to speak of,” Escalicas added.
At the Camella Northpoint on JP Laurel, Escalicas said a commercial complex will also be developed within the 2.8-hectare property.
“We will allot around 8,000 square meters for the commercial complex which will feature a French fine dine restaurant, condotel, spa and wellness amenities,” he said.
Escalicas said Camella is set to open, among its locators, famous high-end brands that wellness shops will cater to the residents of the project. “We want them to experience the best in living within the community, “he said.
Within the commercial complex, Escalicas said the group of Antonio R. Floirendo Jr. of the Anflo Investment and Management Corp. is sprucing up the old mansion, the so-called “iconic white house,” within the property to turn it into a French fine-dining restaurant.
The mansion was owned by a Scotsman who died without  heirs.
Anflo officials earlier said the company is finalizing the specifics of the restaurant as they are also renovating the restaurant in their Pearl Farm which will be a Spanish-themed one.
Escalicas said the company has also started its third building as those who have bought units in the first buildings have already relocated there while units in the second building are almost all sold.
At the Northpoint project, Camella has spent about P2 million just for planting Caribbean pine trees as the company is making it a “pine tree estate in the city.”
“We want to promote the condominium as if you are not living in a building, within the four corners of the room. We want them to feel they are in a community with a clean and breathtaking environment,” he said.

CAMELLA will make one of its bestselling developments, Cerritos, more affordable to make it accessible to homebuyers looking to live in a master planned Camella community.

Camella will be offering Cerritos houses and townhomes in packages that go as low as P794,000, a mid-price range that will make Cerritos one of the most affordable themed developments in Davao.

Cerritos is a Mediterranean-inspired community sprawled over nine hectares of land with three more hectares intended for commercial development.

The massive land development is expected to commence this second quarter, with house construction targeted towards the end of the year.
